K-9 5K Trail Run – CapeK9Cardio’s 3rd Annual Fundraising Race

Join us for the 3rd Annual K-9 5K, a dog and owner trail run, or one mile walk. Our unique Cape Cod 5K trail run is a full day event for the whole family. We are raising money for the Mashpee Dog Park. The race will start at 9am at Falmouth Academy. There will be T-Shirts for pre-registered participants and prizes for our top finishers. Please sign up today and join us for a full day of family and dog events on July 1st.

K-9 5K Race Details

Preview the course on our trail map.

  • Preferred registration method is online at a discounted rate with free t-shirt (while supplies last)
  • Parking, day of race registration and number pickup 7:30 – 8:30am at Falmouth Academy
  • Start time 9:00 am
  • Dogs must be on a leash at all times (6 foot maximum – no extended retractable leashes)
  • Your dog must be social with other dogs, spayed or neutered, and up to date on all shots
  • Limit one dog per registered participant
  • This is a trail run, therefore no strollers, wheelchairs or carriers allowed

Run or Walk with or without a Dog

3.1 Mile K-9 5K Trail Run

  • Course signage including mile markers
  • Exciting twists and turns
  • Hazards include roots and rocks – use caution
  • Portions of the trail narrow to one lane where passing will not be possible
  • Water buckets along the route for the doggies
  • Water stop for runners
  • Start/Finish at Falmouth Academy

1 Mile Walk

  • Kids under 12 free
  • Mostly two lane easy dirt trail and pavement
  • Water buckets along route for the doggies
  • Very few hazards
  • Start/Finish at Falmouth Academy

Pre-Registration Fees (Online)

Post-Registration Fees (Day of Race)

Results from Falmouth Track Club

Our 5K will be professionally timed by the Falmouth Track Club. Results will be published on Cool Running and New England Runner within 24 hours.
