5K Run, 1 Mile Walk though Beebe Woods in Falmouth, MA

Experience a first of its kind fundraiser in Falmouth: K95K, a dog and owner trail run, walk or jog. A 5K run or a 1.2 mile walk to commemorate the 20th anniversary of The Friends of Falmouth Dogs. All proceeds from the race will go to the dog shelter. The race will start at 10:30 am and will kick off the “Hounds at Highfield“. There will be T-Shirts for pre-registered participants and prizes for our top finishers. Please sign up today and join us for a full day of family and dog events on June 27th.

Race Details

• Preferred registration method is online through Active.com
• Parking, day of race registration and number pickup 8:30 – 10 am at Falmouth Academy
• Shuttle bus or .5 mile walk to start line at Highfield Hall
• Start time 10:30 am
• Dogs must be a leash at all times (6 foot maximum – no extended retractable leashes)

3.1 Mile 5K Trail Run

• Course signage including mile markers
• Exciting twists and turns
• Hazards include roots and rocks – use caution
• Portions of the trail narrow to one lane where passing will not be possible
• Water buckets along the route for the doggies
• Water stop at 1.6 miles for runners
• Finish at Falmouth Academy

1.2 Mile Trail Walk

• Mostly two lane easy dirt trail
• Water buckets along route for the doggies
• Very few hazards
• Finish at Falmouth Academy

Award Ceremony

There will be an award ceremony following the race at 11:45 am in front of Highfield Hall. Divisions and awards here.

The CapeK9Cardio K95K (Trail Run, Walk or Jog) will be professionally timed by the Falmouth Track Club. Results will be published on Cool Running and New England Runner.
