There will be course markers and green flags along the route. There are a few sections where you must slow down to be safe especially near the Punch Bowl Pond. Some sections are one lane only. Please review the route prior to the run.
The course will start and finish in the first field at Falmouth Academy. You will begin by lapping the field and following the perimeter of two other fields to the north. Then you will enter the Beebe Woods behind Falmouth Academy on relatively easy two lane terrain and follow a clockwise route past the Falmouth Conservatory and between Highfield Theater and Highfield Hall. As you re-enter the woods the terrain quickly becomes rough with roots, small stones and loose gravel. Around 1.5 miles you will take a sharp right turn onto a one lane trail which will lead you past the Punch Bowl. Go slow as you encounter large rocks near the pond. This is the toughest part of the course. After the Punch Bowl you will follow the markers back to Falmouth Academy where you will reverse the path you followed around the fields back to the start/finish.
